Kinefinity Launches VISTA Personal Cinema Camera

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 4, 2026, 9:00 AM PT

BEIJING, June 5, 2026 — Kinefinity Inc. today announced the VISTA Personal Cinema Camera, a full-frame 6K Open Gate cinema camera in a 610g / 1.34lb body. Designed for individual filmmakers who demand professional image quality without the weight or complexity of a traditional cinema system, VISTA is available immediately at an MSRP of $2,499 USD. Shipping begins June 20.

VISTA is not a portable video tool, nor a stripped-down professional system. It delivers a complete, reliable cinema camera experience in the smallest possible form factor — from personal projects to formal productions, without compromise.

"VISTA finally gives individual filmmakers a complete professional filmmaking experience, without asking them to choose between quality and portability. From concept to reality — this is what a personal cinema camera should be."

— Jihua Zheng, CEO of Kinefinity

SMALLER. NOT LESSER.

VISTA is built around a full-frame 6K 3:2 CMOS sensor. In Open Gate mode, it utilizes the sensor's entire imaging area while providing native support for anamorphic capture, maximizing format flexibility without crop factors. Dual Native ISO 800 and 5120 maintain clean, controlled image quality across a wide range of lighting conditions. Built on KineLOG3 color science, VISTA supports both built-in and custom 3D LUTs with optional LUT burn-in for a consistent workflow from acquisition through final delivery.

For recording, VISTA offers H.265 Max, High, and Normal bitrate options alongside ProRes 422 HQ, all recorded in QuickTime .mov format. It supports up to 6K 50fps in Full Frame mode and 4K 100fps in Super 35 mode, providing the flexibility to balance image quality, storage efficiency, and frame rate requirements.

Weighing just 610g / 1.34lb and measuring 101 × 87 × 65mm / 4.0 × 3.4 × 2.6in, VISTA is precision-machined from aviation-grade aluminum alloy throughout. Compact enough for personal filmmaking and lightweight rigs, yet engineered to meet the reliability demands of professional production.

MORE RELIABLE. NOT MORE COMPLEX.

VISTA is the first cinema camera to integrate a 220GB internal SSD, enabling immediate recording without the need for external media. For productions requiring additional capacity or established media workflows, a CFexpress Type B slot provides a proven, high-performance recording solution.

The 4-inch articulating Retina OLED display delivers 700 nits of brightness and is optimized to display the complete Open Gate image, allowing accurate framing and focus evaluation in a wide range of shooting environments. An active low-noise cooling system is integrated within the all-metal chassis, ensuring stable operation during extended recording sessions.

Every VISTA includes three mount options: KineMOUNT, Active PL, and Active E. KineMOUNT further supports Kinefinity's ecosystem of PL, EF, PLND, and EFND adapters. Together with dual full-size HDMI outputs, dual USB-C ports, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity, VISTA integrates the essential tools of a professional cinema camera into a single, streamlined platform.
